Jack's Oak - Quercus x jackiana
A cross between White Oak and Swamp White Oak (Quercus alba and Q. bicolor), this is a medium-sized oak less than 75 feet in height. Primarily an eastern hybrid, it is found north into New Brunswick and west to Missouri. The deciduous leaves have multiple lobes and exhibit good reddish color in autumn. The ovoid acorns are halfway enclosed in a thick cup.
